plant

In his kind of artistic research, Hinterberger deals with questions of human existence - from ancestry to visions of the future. In doing so, he often exhausts the height of the fall from high culture to everyday life and works in an ironic way with common clichés from community life and viewing art.

"His personal approach is more geared towards something like an encyclopedic exploration of the world."

Hinterberger's oeuvre includes drawings, objects, actions, installations, artist books as well as realizations in public space, often closely related to the genius loci of the exhibition locations. His artistic-scientific occupation with evolution and the incarnation led u. a. for the design of the exhibition Evolution. Paths of Life , German Hygiene Museum , Dresden 2005.

"For him, visual design is not the reshaping of a surface, but a thought that has become an object."
