The North German Natural Gas Transversal (NETRA) is a 341 kilometer pipeline for the transport of natural gas , which runs from the import point of the Europipe in Dornum on the North Sea to Salzwedel - Steinitz in Saxony-Anhalt .

The pipeline was put into operation in 1995 on the section between Etzel and Salzwedel. In 1999 it was extended by 49 kilometers from Etzel to Dornum. There is a compressor station in Wardenburg . The owners and operators are Open Grid Europe , Gasunie Deutschland and StatoilHydro .
