The North German Craft is a business newspaper ("newspaper magazine") of the chambers of crafts in Lower Saxony and Magdeburg , which is aimed at the craft-oriented medium-sized businesses. At the beginning of 2005 an editorial and graphic relaunch of the newspaper was carried out. As a result, the North German Crafts was awarded by the Association of German Trade Press as trade journal of the year 2006 in the category "Craft / Agriculture".

As a reader survey in August 2008 showed, the newspaper's readers include the owners of craft businesses in Lower Saxony and Magdeburg, collaborating partners, managing directors and employed masters.

The editorial office is located in the publishing headquarters in Hanover. The editor-in-chief is the business journalist Irmke Frömling. The regional pages with reports from the individual chambers of crafts and their districts are managed directly by the respective chambers of crafts.
