history

The band was founded in 1997 in Hanover. Among other things, she has performed at two Blood and Honor concerts in Denmark . One of the gigs was later released as a bootleg on CD. Their first album Werft sie raus was released in 2000. By 2012 the band had released various records, including seven albums. Of the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons , the anniversary album were X and the first three publications untitled demo CD , the live bootleg album Live in Denmark '98 and the debut album Throw them out , indicated . X was reissued without the songs, Punks and Das Haus ist occupied, who were responsible for the indexing . Also it shipyard out appeared as the first string in a newly released version. The albums were released by Wikinger Versand, Pühses Liste , Heimdall Versand and right-wing label V7-Records . Furthermore, with Final Stand, the band has a side project in the Gothic Metal style.

The band performed at the German Voice Press Festival 2003 in Meerane (Saxony) in front of around 3,800 visitors and at Rock für Deutschland 2006 in Gera .

The band broke up in 2012. Because of this, the new edition of the indexed CD Tätervolk Geschichte was re-released as The Last Streich without the indexed song.

Texts

The lyrics of the band, especially the texts that are decisive for indexing, are partly xenophobic, but also aggressively directed against "ticks" (leftists and punks), politicians and the police. They also try to occupy populist issues. Nordfront move with their texts on the edge of legality and take care not to cross a criminal line. This becomes particularly clear in the song “ Call me as you want : “You call me a Nazi and a fascist, unfortunately I am not allowed to say what you are. That would burden me financially, because you can only touch my dignity. "

In 2011, Nordfront participated with the song Alter Mann on the later indexed schoolyard CD of the NPD Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on the occasion of the state election in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2011 . The song laments the fate of a homeless person who, as a German, cannot expect any pity from those around him.

In 2011 the ÖVP politician Robert Schmidorfer , Mayor of Albersdorf-Prebuch , came under fire after reading the text on Why? quoted calling for the " death penalty for child molesters ".
