Norman Cohn (film producer)

Norman Cohn (born October 6, 1946 in New York City ) is an American - Canadian film producer and cameraman .

life and work

Norman Cohn was a Guggenheim Fellow in 1990 . His films have been shown in the Art Gallery of Ontario , the National Gallery of Canada , the Vancouver Art Gallery and at documenta 8 in Kassel.

In collaboration with Zacharias Kunuk and Paul Apak Angilirq , he worked on films about the life of the Inuit . Norman Cohn directed the camera and was also the film editor for the multi-award-winning film Atanarjuat - The Legend of the Fast Runner from 2001 . He directed The Journals of Knud Rasmussen in 2006 .

Norman Cohn is the co-founder of Isuma , the first Canadian production company for Inuit films in Igloolik .
