The Norman Peak is a 1,790 m high mountain in the southwestern Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 6 km north-northeast of Anchor Crag and 6.1 km west of Peregrinus Peak on the northern flank of the Airy Glacier .
Aerial photographs were taken in 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements in 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain in 1977 after Robert Norman ( bl. 1560–1596), an English sailor and compass manufacturer who developed the first inclination busole in 1576 .
