background

  • The title Noseland refers to Julian Rachlin's nasal fetishism .
  • The entire film was shot within 14 days at the Julian Rachlin & Friends 2010 Festival in Dubrovnik .
  • All interviews in this film are completely improvised and the whole film just follows a concept written by Aleksey Igudesman's crew .
  • Noseland started as a no-budget production, only flights, room and board were paid for the crew. Only after a year did executive producer George Votis raise enough money to complete the film and submit it to festivals.
  • John Malkovich says he loves this movie.
  • In 2008 Georg Riha reported from the festival in the documentary Musik und Meer, also with John Malkovich and Sir Roger Moore

criticism

“Classic, a dusty world for elite circles? "Noseland" does away with this cliché once and for all with a lot of wit and irony and a classic rap suitable for summer hits. "
