Nuelson Francisco Emanuel Wau [ nʊəlson ɻaʊ ] (born December 17, 1980 in Geldrop-Mierlo , Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player who has been under contract with the Dutch amateur club VV Gemmert since the 2013/14 season and played for the Dutch Antilles national team.

Emerging from the youth of PSV Eindhoven, he was signed by the first division club Willem II Tilburg at the age of 19 . Wau completed 134 first division games in eight seasons for the club and scored one goal. He made his debut on April 22, 2000 (31st matchday) in a 5-3 home game against VBV De Graafschap Doetinchem . He scored his only first division goal on March 4, 2006 (27th matchday) in a 5-0 win at home against FC Groningen with the goal to make it 3-0 in the 31st minute.

After a short stop at the league competitor Roda JC Kerkrade , where he played only 10 first division games from January to June 2008, he moved to the Cypriot first division club Nea Salamis Famagusta . After he came to no league game there, he returned to the Netherlands in January 2009 and completed the rest of the season in Tilburg . For the 2009/10 season received a contract with the second division club SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden , for which he completed three seasons. He then moved to Belgium for a year and played for half a year each for KFC de Kempen and Lutlommel VV . He has been playing for the Dutch amateur club VV Gemmert since the 2013/14 season .

National team

He played two international matches for the national soccer team of the Netherlands Antilles . He made his debut on 18 February 2004 in Saint John's in the 0: 2 defeat by selecting Antigua and Barbuda in the first leg of the qualifiers for the 2006 World Cup .

He played his last international match on June 18, 2004 in San Pedro Sula in the 4-0 defeat in the second leg of qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany against the selection of Honduras .

Nuelson is one of the few footballers from the Netherlands Antilles who were able to establish themselves in Europe.
