OWSLA is an American music label owned by Sonny Moore , Kathryn Frazier, Clayton Blaha and Tim Smith. The name "Owsla" refers to Richard Adams fantasy novel " Watership Down " ( "Watership Down"), must flee to the anthropomorphic rabbit in front of a same military group.

history

OWSLA has already been announced with three short videos that were published on Skrillex's official YouTube channel. The first, uploaded on August 1, 2011 with the name OWSLA # 1 , shows a boy collecting stuffed animals which he throws at the camera at the end of the video. In the second video, OWSLA # 2 , the boy is holding a large pink ball. At the end he throws it at the camera too. The video was uploaded two days after OWSLA # 1 . Two weeks later, on August 16, the last video, OWSLA # 3, was released . You can see Skrillex producing. After a few seconds, the boy appears behind him with a large stuffed dog . He throws it at Skrillex's head. On August 17th, Skrillex officially announced the launch of the label.

The label's first release was Spitfire by Porter Robinson .
