Obbola is a place ( Tatort ) in northern Sweden in the municipality of Umeå in Västerbotten County . The place is on the European route 12 , to Umeå train station on the Botniabanan it is about six kilometers. Furthermore, the place is on the Baltic Sea .

Obbola is one of the oldest villages in the Umeå area. Tombs have been found south of Obbola that indicate settlement in the 7th century BC. Let close. Fixed settlements did not emerge until the 13th century, and from the 15th century Obbola counted as a village.
