The former municipality of Oberjesingen has been one of the eight districts of Herrenberg today due to the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg since 1972 .

Oberjesingen is on the edge of the Korngau , five kilometers from Herrenberg , near the A 81 Stuttgart - Singen motorway .
history
Oberjesingen appears in a document for the first time in 1314, although at that time it was referred to as Oesingen. The real name Oberjesingen only emerged after the Thirty Years' War . Up until 1819 Oberjesingen belonged to the Kuppinger staff. With the construction of the Briccius Church in 1857/58 Oberjesingen also became an independent parish ( Parish Oberjesingen ). On March 1st, 1972 Oberjesingen was incorporated into Herrenberg.
