The Oberreintalhütte , also known as the Franz-Fischer-Hütte , is a serviced Alpine Club hut for self-catering in the Bavarian Wetterstein Mountains . The shelter belongs to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen section of the German Alpine Club .

location

The hut is located in the Oberreintal at an altitude of 1532  m above sea level. NHN . The location is within the Oberreintal natural forest reserve with a stock of spruce , stone pine and sycamore maple reaching up to around 1550  m .

history

The hut was built in 1921 and expanded in 1959, 1978 and 1985.

In circles of the Oberreintal climbers, the Weldenfels alpinists and also in the owning section, the accommodation is usually called the Franz Fischer Hut, after the mountaineer and popular long-time host Franz Fischer. Officially (for example in the hut directory of the alpine clubs) it still bears the name Oberreintalhütte, not least to avoid confusion with the Franz Fischer hut of the Austrian alpine club .

Hut access

  • From Garmisch-Partenkirchen through the Partnachklamm (approx. 4 hours).
