The Schachenhaus (1866 m) is a mountain hut in the Wettersteingebirge am Schachen, right next to the Königshaus am Schachen .
The Schachenhaus belongs to the Bavarian Administration of State Palaces, Gardens and Lakes . It was built together with the royal family on Schachen around 1870. In King Ludwig's time, the buildings of the Schachenhaus were the farm buildings belonging to the castle. In 1911 a stone building was added.
The house has 53 beds and is open from late May / early June to early / mid-October. There is no winter room.

- From Elmau via the so-called Königsweg (walking time approx. 3½ hours)
- From Mittenwald past Lautersee and Ferchensee on the Königsweg (walking time approx. 5½ hours)
- From Elmau via the Wettersteinalm and Schachentor
- From the Partenkirchen ski stadium through the Partnachklamm via the Kälbersteig and the Königsweg (walking time 4–5 hours)
- From the Partenkirchen ski stadium through the Partnachklamm via the Reintal and Oberreintal
