The Ocean Majesty is a cruise ship owned by Majesty International Cruises. The ship sails under the Portuguese flag. Her sister ship was the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria . On June 29, 2005, already as a cruise ship Royal Pacific , she capsized in the port of Kaohsiung in Taiwan and was removed from the register.

The ship was built in Spain as the Ro-Ro ferry Juan March . The launch took place on December 4, 1965, in July 1966 it was put into service. It was later converted into a cruise ship and renamed several times.

Most of the year the ship is chartered to the tour operator Page & Moy. It has been running for Hansa Touristik in the summer months since 2013. From March 2015 the ship served as a hotel ship for the expansion of the Suez Canal .

Incidents

On August 8, 2007, the Ocean Majesty was pushed against another cruise ship by a gust of wind while maneuvering in the Geirangerfjord . Because of the damage, the passengers had to leave the ship, it drove empty to the shipyard.
