Odensvi is a place ( småort ) and a parish in the municipality of Västervik in the northern Swedish province of Kalmar County . The name Odensvi, which also occurs in Småland and Västmanland, indicates a holy place (Vi) where the god Oden ( Wotan ) was worshiped.

Odensvi is a small central town with a public bathing area, a small ski slope, petrol station, school, large sports field, campsite and retirement home. The focal point of the village is the village community center, which is located on Lake Kyrksjön and houses the village shop operated by a village cooperative. The village community starts a variety of activities to maintain and develop the small town in the Swedish countryside.

Once or twice a day (as of January 2017) there is a bus connection via the local line between Gamleby, 15 km east of the Linköping - Västervik ( Tjustbanan ) railway line , and Boda in the neighboring municipality of Kinda to the west .

The 3.8 m high, 0.9 m wide and 0.5 m thick phallic building stone "Odensvi 4: 1" is in the hamlet of Boda.
