The FFH area Odenwaldtäler between Schloßau and Walldürn is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-6421-311) in the Neckar-Odenwald region designated by ordinance of 2005 of the Karlsruhe regional council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) . District in Baden-Wuerttemberg . The FFH area is part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas .
description
The FFH area includes a wooded low mountain range, meadow valleys with wet and poor meadows , small areas of poor grass and nebula grass , meandering streams with wood fringes , brown sedge swamps, swamp forest and a depression in the cleared agricultural landscape as a resting area for migratory birds .
Protection purpose
The following habitat types according to Annex I of the Habitats Directive occur in the area:
- Species-rich bristle grass lawn
- Moist tall herbaceous vegetation
- Lean, lowland hay meadows
- Mixed ravine and hillside forests
- Alder, ash and softwood alluvial forests
- Silicate rocks with crevice vegetation
- Grove beech forests
- Dry heaths
- Running waters with flooding aquatic vegetation
- Natural and near-natural nutrient-rich still waters with spawning or frog-bite communities
