Railway bridge over the Offin

The Offin is a river in Ghana and a tributary of the Pra .

It is a tributary of the Pra in the Central Region . The river has its source near the village of Agona north of Kumasi . Together with the other tributaries of the Pra, the Birim and the Anum , the Offin is part of the second largest drainage system in Ghana.

At Dunkwa gold is mined, which has a negative effect on the water quality.

A railway bridge was built over the Offin in 1924 near the town of Dunkwa for the railway line from Sekondi to Kumasi .
