Location of Ohe in Reinbek

Ohe is a district of Reinbek in the Stormarn district in the state of Schleswig-Holstein and has around 1,300 inhabitants (2016). The district in the northeast of Reinbek is south of the Oher Tannen forest and west of the Sachsenwald . Ohe has been part of the city of Reinbek since 1974.

history

Ohe was first mentioned in a document in 1238. The farming villages of Schönningstedt and Ohe, which belonged to the former Reinbek office and were headed by the farmer bailiffs, retained their characteristic structure for a long time; from 1897 Ohe was a separate district in the Reinbek office .

The proximity to the city of Hamburg led to housing developments in Ohe after the Second World War .

On January 1, 1974, the previously independent community of Schönningstedt with Ohe and Neuschönningstedt and parts of Stemwarde and Glinde was incorporated into the city of Reinbek on the occasion of the regional reform.
