Old Blind Dogs
Old Blind Dogs are a Scottish folk band formed in 1990 with influences from rock music . Influential are dynamic percussion , violin intensive use, Bagpipestücke , vocals and "Scottish" Bouzoukiklänge .

On the occasion of the Scots Trad Music Awards , they received the Folk Band of the Year award in 2004 and 2007 . The band touring the United States and Europe constantly .
Even after 18 years of existence, the Old Blind Dogs see themselves as “vital and innovative ambassadors” of traditional Scottish music. Subtle and imaginative, they expand traditional musical aspects with more rhythmic structures, dynamic arcs and structural expansions. As a result, peculiar timbres are achieved that combine the musical heritage of the Scottish ancestors with the band's typical echo of current sounds.
In 2010 the formation recorded the tenth studio album called Wherever Yet May Be at Gran's House Studio in Lamington, Scotland - this together with Piper Ali Hutton, who joined the band in 2008 . The CD includes six new pieces by Ali Hutton as well as traditional pieces from the repertoire of Gordon Duncan , Fred Morrison , Jamie Smith and many more.
