Ole Thorben Buschhüter (born January 24, 1976 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg SPD politician and member of the Hamburg Parliament .
Life
Ole Thorben Buschhüter attended the Oldenfelde grammar school in the Hamburg district of Wandsbek from 1986 to 1995 . 1992/93 he attended in the United States , the Speedway High School in Speedway (Indiana) . In 1995 the Abitur followed again in Germany. He then studied law at the University of Hamburg with a focus on environmental and planning law (not completed). From 1998 to 2002 he was an employee of the politician Senator a. D. Peter Zumkley and from 2002 to 2008 employee of the Member of Parliament Jan Quast .
Political party
Ole Thorben Buschhüter has been a member of the SPD since 1992. He was deputy from 1995 and has been chairman of the SPD district of Oldenfelde since 2000 . He has been deputy chairman of the Wandsbek SPD district since April 2016. He is a member of the board of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics in Hamburg eV as treasurer.
MP
From November 1994 he was an elected citizen in committees of the Wandsbek district assembly , including in what was then the Rahlstedt local committee. From October 11, 2001 until his election to the state parliament in 2008, he was a member of the Wandsbek district assembly. There he was an assessor on the board of the SPD parliamentary group and its spokesman for transport policy.
In February 2008, he was in the state election as a vote strongest candidate in the constituency Rahlstedt elected to the Hamburg Parliament. He was able to defend his constituency mandate in the 2011 state elections , the 2015 state elections and the 2020 state elections. He has been Chairman of the Transport Committee since 2011 . From 2011 to 2014 he was chairman of the parliamentary committee of inquiry “Elbphilharmonie” . Since April 2018 he has been Parliamentary Managing Director of the SPD parliamentary group.

His particular political commitment is the construction of a S-Bahn line from Hamburg-Hasselbrook to Rahlstedt, Ahrensburg and Bad Oldesloe, the so-called S4 project . In this context he founded the S4 initiative in 2000, of which he is the Hamburg spokesman.
