Oleg Vladimirovich Boljakin ( Russian Олег Владимирович Болякин * 23. September 1965 in Karaganda , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh hockey player and current - trainer of the Kazakh team Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk .

Player career

Oleg Boljakin began his career in the Soviet Second League with Awtomobilist Karaganda . He spent the 1998/99 season with Amur Khabarovsk . In 1999, the defender moved to the Russian second division to Yuzhny Ural Orsk , where he ended his active career in 2003.

Boljakin played three games for Kazakhstan at the 1995 Asian Championships and booked an assist.

Coaching career

In the 2007/08 season Boljakin took over the coaching position with the Kazakh team HK Irtysh Pavlodar . For the 2009/10 season he was committed by HK Sary-Arka Karaganda and led the team to win the Kazakh championship. Since October 2010 he has been coaching the Kazakh team Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk from the Vysschaja Hockey League .

Private

His son Yevgeny Boljakin is also an ice hockey player.
