Oleschyn ( Ukrainian Олешин ; Russian Олешин Oleschin ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Khmelnyzkyj with about 2,300 inhabitants (2015).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1494, is located at the mouth of the Selena River ( Зелена ) in the Southern Bug . Oleschyn borders on the urban area of the Oblast capital Khmelnytskyi , the city center of which is 10 km southeast of the village. The village has a train station on the Kelmenzi – Kalinkawitschy railway line .

Oleschyn is the administrative center of the same name, 79.68 square kilometer district community in Rayon Chmelnyzkyj with about 4,000 inhabitants, to the still villages Welyka Kalynivka ( Велика Калинівка ⊙ ) with about 390 inhabitants, Iwankiwzi ( Іванківці ⊙ ) with about 800 inhabitants and Tscherepowa ( Черепова ⊙ ) with about 430 inhabitants.
