The Olga steppe candle ( Eremurus olgae ) is a type of plant from the genus steppe candle ( Eremurus ) in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae).
features
The Olga steppe candle is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 70 to 100 centimeters. The stem is bare. It forms rhizomes . The leaves are bare and 5 to 10 (rarely up to 15) millimeters wide.
The inflorescence is 30 to 50 centimeters long, dense and conical. The bracts are usually bare and drawn out in a long, thread-like manner due to their broad triangular base. The flower stalks are protruding and (rarely from 16) 25 to 70 millimeters long. The tepals are 12 to 17 millimeters long, pale pink, rarely white and yellow at the base.
The flowering time is in June.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 14.
Occurrence
The Olga steppe candle occurs in northern Iran , northern Afghanistan and the Pamir-Alai in high grass fields as well as juniper and thorn bushes on stony and fine earthy slopes at altitudes of (rarely from 500) 800 to 2700 meters.

The Olga steppe candle is rarely used as an ornamental plant. It has been in culture since 1873 at the latest.
