Oliver Blume (born June 6, 1968 in Braunschweig ) is a German manager and chairman of the board of Dr. Ing.hc F. Porsche AG .

Career

After graduating from high school in Braunschweig, he studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Braunschweig. In 1994, Blume completed an international trainee program at Audi . At the age of 28 he was a planner for body construction and the paint shop at Audi, three years later he took over responsibility for the body construction of the Audi A3 and another two years later he was promoted to assistant production at Audi. He did his doctorate on the subject of vehicle technology. For five years, Blume was in the production planning department at Seat , and for another five years at the Volkswagen brand.

In 2013, Blume was appointed to the board of the Volkswagen subsidiary Porsche AG , where he is responsible for production and logistics. The company's supervisory board appointed him chairman of the board of management from October 1, 2015 on September 30, 2015. Blume replaces Matthias Müller , who had moved to the top of the VW group in the wake of the emissions scandal .
