Oliver Conz

Oliver Conz (born December 21, 1967 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German lawyer, conservationist and politician.

Live and act

Conz spent his childhood in Liederbach. After training as a banker and doing his community service at the Hessian Society for Ornithology , he studied law in Frankfurt am Main from 1991 , after which his legal clerkship took place in 1999, the second state law examination. After working as a lawyer at the German Agricultural Society , from 2003 to 2019 he headed the central division of the RKW Rationalization and Innovation Center of the German Economy in Eschborn .

As a passionate ornithologist , Conz worked for nature conservation very early on; For example, he was involved in the 1990s against the construction of the golf course at Rettershof in Kelkheim . Since 2008 he has been chairman of the Hessian Society for Ornithology. On June 30, 2010 he was sent to the Federal Assembly and in 2011 he ran as a non-party member against Michael Cyriax in the district election in the Main-Taunus district . He was also a member of the Hessian Alliance for Sustainability (since 2019), the State Works Commission of HessenForst (since 2014) and Chairman of the Council of the Hessian Nature Conservation Foundation (since 2011). Since December 1, 2019 he has been (as successor to Beatrix Tappeser ) State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection .

Conz is married and has one child.
