Oliver Detelich

Oliver Detelich (born January 30, 1972 in Harreshausen ) is an American-German dancer , choreographer and ballet school director. He lives in Berlin .

Life

Detelich, who is of American descent, grew up in West Germany. He received his dance training at the Dr. Hoch's Conservatory and at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts . His first engagement took him in 1989 to the Essen Ballet under the direction of Heidrun Schwaarz. In 1995 Detelich moved to the Aalto-Theater in Essen, where he danced until 1998.

Daniela Kurz brought him to the State Theater in Nuremberg , where he was part of the ballet ensemble until 2001. In 2004 he was a member of the ensemble of the Berlin Ballet ( Komische Oper Berlin ) under Blanca Li and Adolphe Binder .

Oliver Detelich has been a freelance dancer and choreographer since 2005. Since then he has danced in numerous productions and shows, including as a soloist in Carmen Nebel's ZDF shows (including Welcome to Carmen Nebel ) for the German Show Ballet Berlin . In 2009, he framed with this dance company, the tour Musical Diva of Anna Maria Kaufmann . Detelich is also a power yoga teacher and director of the Center of Dance , which opened in 2007 in the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg .
