Sven-Oliver Heitmann (born October 14, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a former German volleyball player .

Heitmann started with volleyball in his hometown at SC Langenhorn and at CVJM Hamburg. From 1988 to 1993 he played for the Bundesliga club Hamburger SV (from 1991 1st VC Hamburg), with whom he became DVV Cup winner in 1989 and 1993 and German runner-up in 1989 . In 1993 the middle blocker moved to league competitor TuS Kriftel and in January 1994 to the USA at Northridge College in Los Angeles . In the summer of 1994 Heitmann returned to Germany and played for the Bundesliga club SV Fellbach and VfB Ludwigslust . In 1996 he was signed by the SCC Berlin , with whom he was third in the European CEV Cup in 1999 and German runner-up and DVV Cup winner again in 2000. From 1990 to 2001 Heitmann also played in the German national team , with which he finished fourth in the European Championship in Finland in 1993 .

After leaving SCC Berlin in 2001, Heitmann played beach volleyball on the national tour for several years . He was also active in the hall, since 2003 with the second division Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen , since 2004 again in the Bundesliga with Maoam Mendig and after his retirement in 2005 with SG Eschenbacher Eltmann , where he ended his long career in 2007.
