Olli Ahvenlahti
Olli Ahvenlahti (born August 6, 1949 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish jazz pianist , conductor and composer.
Ahvenlahti took piano lessons from the age of seven and studied at the Sibelius Academy from 1960 to 1974 . He then worked in New York with Jim McNeely , Andy Laverne , Mark Soskin and Ted Rosenthal .
After studying in England, he worked in Finland with groups such as Unisono , The Group , Conjunto Baron , the Eero Koivistoinen Quartet , the Avenlahti- Johansson Quintet and the UMO Jazz Orchestra , of which he was a member from 1977 to 1982.
In addition, Ahvenlahti appeared as a musician and conductor in radio and television programs and as a companion at the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson .
From 2001 onwards, several records were released by the Sähkö subsidiary Jazzpuu.
