geography
The water rises on the northern slope of the Ardey Mountains in the Bittermärker city forest . Shortly after the source, the Brandisbach and the Heierssiepen flow into the Olpkebach. The Olpkebach joins the Bittermärker Bach in the city forest . Above ground, the stream then flows through the Olpkebach valley named after it. At the end of the valley, the stream is led underground through a canal. After about 200 meters the brook comes to the surface again.
