Oluyemi Kayode (born July 7, 1968 , † October 1, 1994 in Arizona ) was a Nigerian sprinter whose special routes were the 100 and 200 meter run .
Sporting successes
Kayode celebrated his greatest success at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona in the 4 x 100 meter relay : he won the silver medal together with Chidi Imoh , Olapade Adeniken and Davidson Ezinwa and only had to face the US in 37.98 seconds -American team around Carl Lewis and Leroy Burrell (37.40 seconds) give up.
Kayode won another silver medal at the 1993 African Championships in the 200-meter run , a course on which he was also national champion in 1993 and 1994.

Kayode died in a traffic accident in northern Arizona in October 1994.
