The Cayman Islands sent an athlete to the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck , who ultimately did not compete.

The only participant sent was alpine skier Dean Travers , the younger brother of Dow Travers , who competed for the Cayman Islands in the 2010 Winter Olympics . Dean Travers attended the opening ceremony and was also the flag bearer of his nation, but ultimately did not take part in any race.
