In 1992 he reached the semi-finals in Barcelona with the foil team, which Cuba won 9: 7. The battle for third place against Hungary was won by the Polish team 9: 4, so that Kiełpikowski received the bronze medal along with Ryszard Sobczak , Adam Krzesiński , Cezary Siess and Marian Sypniewski . He finished the individual competition in 15th place. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta he moved into the final with the Polish team after victories over Venezuela , Germany and Austria , in which they had to admit defeat to Russia with 40:45. Actually, after injuring himself in the individual, he should have been represented by substitute Rodzewicz in the entire team competition.
