The Olympus E-450 is a 10 megapixel digital single lens reflex camera , based on the Four Thirds standard and successor to the Olympus E-420 . It was delivered in stores in May 2009.

Compared to other SLR cameras of their time, the "Mini-SLR" has a particularly light and compact housing. The Olympus E-450 weighs ready for operation (housing + battery + memory card xD-Picture Card + lens ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm 1: 4.0-5.6 + strap + lens cap) approx. 750 grams. The low street price as well as many automatic functions that were otherwise more likely to be found in compact cameras made the camera particularly interesting for DSLR beginners.
