The Olympus E-30 is a digital E-System - SLR the company Olympus . It is based on the Four Thirds Standard . With the E-30, Olympus has brought out a mid-range digital SLR camera for the first time, which ranks between the three-digit , cheaper models such as the Olympus E-620 and the professional Olympus E-3 . Olympus follows the naming scheme of other manufacturers who also offer double-digit mid-range DSLRs; the E-30 competes with models like the Nikon D90 or the Canon EOS 50D . It was presented in November 2008 and has been delivered since December 2008.
