The Oma ( Russian Ома ) is a river 268 kilometers long (with the Little Oma (Худая Ома) 307 km) in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in northern Russia.

It rises in the Russian lowlands in the permafrost area and flows northwards in the middle of the south side of the Chosha Bay of the Barents Sea .

The catchment area of grandma comprises 5,050 square kilometers. The river mainly flows through marshland and has a large number of tributaries on the left and right . The largest town on the river is the homonymous Oma ( ) with 1000 inhabitants. Otherwise there are no permanent residents. The fish-rich river forms a wide estuary at its mouth . The mouth of the funnel faces east.
