Omskavia was a Russian airline based in the Siberian metropolis of Omsk . It emerged from Aeroflot's aircraft inventory .
history
The company was founded on February 1, 1994 . Initially, the Omsk- Moscow route was operated and then flew to Germany. In 1996 they started working with Iran Airtour and Mahan Air .
The company was under the influence of the Russian airline managers and twin brothers Boris and Alexander Michailowitsch Abramowitsch, who held a 70% stake in the airline. At the end of 2004, the company joined the AiRUnion alliance, which consisted of the airlines of the Abramovich brothers KrasAir , Sibaviatrans , Samara Airlines and Domodedovo Airlines .
At the end of 2007, the five companies were supposed to merge under the name AirUnion to form a large airline, but this never happened due to financial problems. Omskavia then ceased flight operations on October 17, 2008.

Omskavia flew to Moscow, Nizhnevartovsk and Sochi in Russia and Frankfurt am Main, Hanover and Cologne in Germany. She also offered charter flights to the Mediterranean, the Middle East (Iran) and Thailand.
