action

Together with his roommate Moe, John Roth runs the website Intercon-X, on which women and men offer paid pornographic services. Not only his customers, he also delights in the sight of so many beauties and watches young girls there who film themselves almost around the clock via webcam in their apartment. Buddy Moe thinks John has mourned his ex-girlfriend long enough, so John makes an appointment with one of the girls. The two of them don't get really warm, so Moe uses the opportunity. John catches him having a quicky with her and later spreads this on the network via a video diary. He's angry because Jordon - that's her name - was actually his date.

When Moira’s friend Moira sees John's video, it breaks her heart. With the webcam switched on, she takes an overdose of tablets (Valium). In this way, the users of a website for potential suicides, in which Moira is also very active and currently logged in, can follow their act. Your current chat partner notifies the rescue service via third parties so that Moira is saved. John feels he has a duty and then takes care of those who are tired of life. He had at least triggered the tragedy. The two start a relationship. This is the reason for John to close his video diary and take part in real social life again.

Finally, the viewer learns that one of the girls John watched on Intercon-X is his ex-girlfriend. So he could still be close to her. He still had hope that she would return to him.

criticism

The Lexicon of International Films writes: “A thoroughly intelligent examination of the dangers of the brave new world, which wrested a convincing comedy from the world of computer screens. The optical design of the film also contributes to this, as it is fully immersed in the computer world and its effects ”.
