The Opština Subotica ( Cyrillic : Општина Суботица ) is a municipality in the Okrug Severna Bačka in northern Vojvodina , on the Hungarian border. The administrative capital is Subotica .
Residents
Subotica is a multi-ethnic community. At the last census in 2002, of a total of 148,401 inhabitants:
- Magyars : 57,092 (38.47%)
- Serbs : 35,826 (24.14%)
- Croatians : 16,688 (11.24%)
- Bunjewatzen : 16,254 (10.95%)
- Yugoslavs : 8,562 (5.76%)
- Montenegrins : 1,860 (1.25%)
