Operator Kõps kiviriigis (in German "Cameraman Kõps in the realm of stones") is the title of an Estonian puppet film from 1968 .

action

This time the young and curious cameraman Kõps discovers the exciting and surprising world of stones. There he meets the Stone King in his fairytale treasury and learns a lot about the origin, occurrence and composition of various stones.

The director of the color film was Heino Pars (* 1925). In addition to entertainment for school children, the film also has a didactic goal.

Pars and his team traveled to a gold mine in Siberia for the shooting . They also researched for the film in the petrological collections in Leningrad and in the Geology Museum in Tartu .

The film was the last in a series of four puppet cartoons by Heino Pars around the cameraman Kõps. Previous episodes were Operator Kõps seeneriigis ("Cameraman Kõps in the realm of mushrooms", 1964), Operator Kõps marjariigis ("Cameraman Kõps in the realm of berries", 1965) and Operator Kõps üksikul saarel ("Cameraman Kõps on a desert island", 1966 ).
