Riom Castle
In 2006, the Riom Castle was renovated by Origen together with the Chur architect Marcel Liesch and converted into a theater. The entire theater installation is made of wood and is under construction. The modern installation is reversible in order not to damage the listed substance. The hall is about 32 m long and 12 m wide. This newly created “theater fortress” offers space for around 220 spectators and combines contemporary theater and dance with a backdrop that is more than 800 years old.
Clavadeira
In 2015 the Origen Festival Cultural opened its winter theater, with which the year-round theater operation was made possible. It took two years to convert the stately barn into a theater building. The resulting theater rooms are characterized by subtle interventions and the dedicated handling of the old building structure. The large theater hall of the Clavadeira shows extraordinary incidence of daylight and gold-colored auditoriums. The river pebble floor and the old wooden decorations were preserved and integrated into the building. This creates a natural contrast to the reduced furnishings and modern materials.
Landscape themes
The Origen Festival Cultural has dealt with theater play in the extreme landscape in recent years. In 2010 the open-air play La Regina da Saba was staged on the Julier Pass . In 2012 Origen made a guest appearance with the Coronation Anthems at Zurich Central Station . A year later, the play Noah was premiered on the dam of Marmorera . In 2014 Origen played on the Upper Engadine lake landscape. The view over the frozen lake of Silvaplana was reminiscent of works by Giovanni Segantini .

In May 2017, construction work began on a temporary theater tower on the Julier Pass . The opening premiere was at the beginning of August 2017. The timber construction, which can be used all year round, is intended to reflect the theater construction of over two millennia. He quotes the Greek landscape theater , the Roman amphitheater , the Shakespeare stage and the baroque box theater . This building combines nature and culture through high window openings.
