history

The original Vogtlandecho with the book "From Arkona to Zobes "

Volker Rausch and Frank Jahn were professional musicians in the local music corps of the National People's Army in Plauen. Shortly after their dissolution, the two musicians appeared for the first time on March 30, 1991 as the original Vogtlandecho on the passenger ship 'Pöhl' on the occasion of the season opening of the passenger shipping of the Pöhl dam . Their self-declared goal is to preserve and maintain cultural and historical musical assets. A side project of the Vogtlandecho since 2006 are the original fishing spirits . Rausch and Jahn concentrate on the presentation of old songs from the Vogtland, which have been forgotten. In addition, they appear as composers and authors of the songs of their own performances. In 2015, the duo was one of the protagonists of the short crime novel Rosa muss weg von Petra Steps , which she wrote as part of the book Wer mordet schon im Vogtland? published.
