Oromahoe is a small settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 10 km south of Kerikeri and around 10 km northwest of Kawakawa in the plains of the Manaia Stream . The New Zealand State Highway 10 runs through Oromahoe and connects the settlement to the New Zealand State Highway 1 just 5 km further southwest near Pakaraka .
Education
The Oromahoe School , a full primary school with grades 1 to 8, is located in the settlement . In February 2017, the school had 91 students. The school was founded as a mission school in the 1870s and was later rededicated as a school for Māori children.
