Russian Orthodox. - 1907. Formerly Evangelical Lutheran Church of Grace. Acquired by the Russian community in 2004. The Russian Orthodox Congregation of St. John of Kronstadt was founded in 2001. It is the youngest Russian Orthodox community in Hamburg. The community currently has around 2000 members. The architecture of the Gnadenkirche (architect: Fernando Lorenzen ), which is rather unusual for western architecture, with its round shapes and elements from the Romanesque and Gothic period is similar to the architectural style of the Byzantine Eastern churches, so that it is characterized by its current five onion domes and Orthodox crosses, which in summer Applied in 2007, hardly differs from the traditional architecture of the Eastern Orthodox churches.
