Os Grandes Portugueses
Os Grandes Portugueses is a Portuguese TV show from 2007 that is comparable to the German format Unser Beste . It was developed based on the model of the 100 Greatest Britons by the radio station Rádio e Televisão de Portugal . The aim was to determine the “best” or “greatest” Portuguese of all time through surveys. The main thing that attracted attention was the fact that the dictator António Salazar was chosen by far in first place.

Trivia
- 19 women were voted into the "Top 100".
- 33 people still living at the time of the election are represented among the top 100.
- There was also a list of the worst Portuguese ( Os Piores Portugueses ) also won by Salazar.
