100 Greatest Britons was a British television program broadcast by the BBC in 2002. The audience from Great Britain and Northern Ireland were asked to choose their 100 most important compatriots.

A similar concept was later pursued by the German program Our Best . The Greatest Canadian broadcast in Canada, De Grootste Nederlander in the Netherlands , Great South Africans in South Africa and Suuret Suomalaiset in Finland . In the USA , the format ran in 2005 under the title The Greatest American .
