Os Pontos Negros (dt .: The black dots) is a Portuguese garage rock band.

The group got together in 2005 to record a piece for a label sampler for the independent label FlorCaveira (German: bone skull flower).

After EPs and sampler contributions, her debut album was released in 2008. Magnífico Material Inútil (Eng .: wonderful material without use) reached the Portuguese sales charts. They could not repeat the success with the following albums, but have since been considered an established rock band in the country. They played at major festivals in the country, such as the Sudoeste Festival in 2008 , or the Optimus Alive in 2009 ! . The group was nominated for Best Portuguese Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 , and the Antena 3 radio station presented the band's first and second albums.

With their album Soba Lobi , which was released in 2012 and recorded in London's Abbey Road Studios , they recently slowed down their style a little and made it a little more intimate, but essentially remained true to the music they had played so far. They continue to sing only in Portuguese and deal with everyday issues, sometimes pensive, sometimes atmospheric and humorous, often ironically broken, such as petty-bourgeois fears or the pitfalls of modern city life.
