Oskar Liebau

Emil Oskar Liebau (born January 3, 1856 in Döbeln , † October 26, 1915 in Rochlitz ) was a German conservative politician .

Live and act

After attending the community school in Döbeln, Liebau completed a four-year commercial training course in Luckau . He then worked in iron shops in Luckau, Suhl and Crimmitschau . In June 1881 he settled as an independent businessman in Rochlitz, where he opened a hardware store where u. a. Iron, stoves and haberdashery was distributed.

Liebau was a city councilor for Rochlitz from 1900. From August 1901 until his death he was a city councilor. He was a member of the Retail Trade Committee of the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce . From 1895 to 1907 he was a member of the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament as a representative of the 13th urban constituency .
