Oskar Ollendorff
Oskar Ollendorff (born November 5, 1865 in Hamburg , † February 12, 1939 in Wiesbaden ) was a German art historian .
Live and act
First he visited the Johanneum in Hamburg . Then he devoted himself to art studies. As a private scholar, he wrote several art historical publications. From a young age he was friends with the Hamburg art historian Aby Warburg . From 1895 he lived in Wiesbaden *, where he also died. But he found his final resting place in the south-west cemetery in Stahnsdorf .
family
He came from a Jewish family. As the son of Hamburg businessman Max Ollendorff and Charlotte Bauer, he married Margaretha Elsbeth Gauer in 1913 (born April 16, 1878 in Bartenstein / East Prussia; † March 5, 1968 in Wiesbaden).
