Oskar Robert Danube

Oskar Robert Donau (also Dogarth) (born May 28, 1898 in Vienna ; † August 31, 1961 there ) was an Austrian painter .

Life

From 1914 to 1917, Donau attended the Imperial and Royal School of Applied Arts in Vienna under Adolf Michael Boehm , Anton von Kenner , Rudolf von Larisch and Franz Cizek . He was involved in the art form of Viennese kineticism . His preferred motifs were landscapes, still lifes and pieces of flowers; towards the end of his life he also painted more modern landscapes.
