San Martino Ospedale
The Ospedale San Martino is a university hospital in the Italian port city of Genoa . The Medical Faculty of the University of Genoa is attached to the hospital . Together with the Istituto Giannina Gaslini and the Ente Ospedaliero Ospedali Galliera , the hospital forms the backbone of Genoese health care . It is located in the San Martino district in the eastern part of the center of the Ligurian capital.

In addition to the conventional inpatient care and treatment facilities, the hospital's structures offer a day clinic , day surgery (outpatient operation center), several outpatient clinics (including surgical ones), diagnostic and service facilities and several operation blocks. A total of around 4,500 people are employed there.
The area of the complex, which includes an internal road network with a total length of 20 kilometers with its own bus service, is around three hectares .
The Ospedale San Martino has a particularly high degree of specialization in cardiology , cardiac surgery , acute care , hematology , neurology , neurosurgery and transplant medicine .
